We started developing the engine tune almost as it hit these shores! We had to hold back though so we could get a good test of the fuel consumption before hand rather than in the first few miles!
After 1500 miles of testing we decided enough was enough and set about the ECU!

We then carried out many dyno sessions and tests on track and road for the next 10,000 miles developing, testing and changing the mapping to give the perfect balance of power, drivability and economy without causing any long term issues.

In independent testing using a calibrated dyno, our car now produces 107bhp and 165lb ft (225Nm) torque. The car returns an improvement over standard of 5-10mpg depending on how its driven and in one trial of driving “economically” we achieved over 80mpg! 0-60 is down under 8.7 seconds and it has a top speed of 120mph.

The gearbox is fine - I have a similar box thats done over 140,000 miles in a Doblo van.
